Bailout the Big 3?

So here it is - Don't bail out failed automakers.  It is painful and many people will lose their jobs (we will/do need another WPA to ensure that people can continue to work), but it is the kind of violent change we need to make sure that the industry as a whole changes and adopts the beliefs and practices that consumers want in today's world and not what we wanted 20 years ago.  I mean where is the person like the Ford of the 1900s that actually INVENTED the car?  I want someone to be that innovative with some clean technology that literally changes the way the world does business and brings about a new era of clean industrialization that business can expand and perfect.  That is what we need and if we continue to add fuel to the fire of failed corporations we will continue to not see the ensueing darkness of a resouce free/polluted planet.  Now is the time for large change and I can't think of a better place to start than with the auto industry.
