Torch Hits Everest
In true hegemonic form, the Chinese have continued to defy everyone and take the torch to the top of Everest. This is an amazing feat, but it fails to cover up the human rights violations that China continues to commit on a daily basis. I know that China has been meeting with members of the Tibetan Government and maybe they are trying to make some progress, but actions speak louder than words. And the actions that the Chinese continue to take are always in opposition to what the people of Tibet want.
