It's amazing that something as tragic as Swine Flu can create some amazing art. But, actually, I guess that is how it always is, there are just events in the world that impact people differently and for some artists it gives them the creative spark that they need. Of course I wish that no one of this ever happened but since it has there is no reason that we shouldn't share and appreciate some of the art that it has created.

So you can never find a place that recycles these things because they are made of plastic and metal. That is really annoying in my opinion since most places can't handle a product like that and so now they are getting into our landfills and ground water. In steps cdrecyclingforfree.com. If you can get the CDs to their centers they will dispose of them properly. So save your cds, DVDs and other stuff and then mail it in or drop it off at their facilities so that we can do a little bit to save this planet.

Happy Earth day out there to all those that are trying to save the planet and not destroy it. I know there is lots to be done my friends but don't get discouraged. The mountain wasn't moved in one day. We must keep the faith of cleaning up this planet to restore it for future generations to enjoy the planter our parents and their parents before them enjoyed. This is not a task that will finish in our lifetime, we will not see the fruits of our labors. But when we all go to that great rest in the sky we will know that we did something, and everything to ensure that our children and others' children would have the chance to survive and thrive on this little blue planet. Don't stop fighting the good fight.

Check out this video called Miniature Earth. It takes the idea of the Earth only having a population of 100 and still having the same problems that we can today. Very enlightening to all the problems that exist in the world and how privileged we are to live in the US which is literally the pinnacle of modern society in living standards and oppurtunities to advance. It is a sad truth of this world, watch the video to understand what I mean.
This is a pretty cool campaign about planting trees with t-shirts purchases that Zazzle.com is running, see below for the story from their blog:
Beginning today we’re launching Tree-Shirt ReLeaf, our campaign in partnership with American Forests, to help plant 100,000 trees in the US. And you can participate! All you have to do is buy a shirt (any shirt on Zazzle) with the code PLANTATREE09, and Zazzle will donate to American Forests to plant a tree in your honor. The more shirts you buy, the more trees we plant. It’s win, win - you get awesome t shirts like some of our Exclusive Earth Day t-shirts, and American Forests gets tress to help restore forests around the US. Learn more about the program at the American Forests Store on Zazzle.
I love the idea of planting trees and companies that help out the environment. Check out one of the Earth Day t-shirts I found on their site that I thought was worth a purchase for a tree.

I love the coasts! On both California and New York coasts they are doing things that are really shaking it up to make this country a more responsible environmental player. The latest from New York is the environmental police. They don't write tickets for parking or catch murders they stop polluters. I love this and I think more states need this because we need someone to protect our greatest asset. The planet.
Lots of people swear by energy drinks and the effect that they have on people, but the truth is that these things are suck a shock to your system it is surprising that more people aren't have heart attacks after consuming them. I mean look at this article on Men's Health about these things. They have more sugar than cake and more caffeine than a few cups of coffee. Pretty scary stuff if this is what we need to stay awake in today's modern world...
you gotta watch what happens at the end of this nature video...crazy...

Constantly people wonder, "how do I recycle my batteries?" Well it isn't that hard and no you can't just throw them into the trash or recycle bin. Since batteries have toxic chemicals in them that can leak into ground water it is important that you take your dead batteries to recycling centers that can handle hazardous waste. Many cities have drop off points that are perfect for this and they don't cost a thing. What I like to do is save my batteries in a box until the box is full and then find a recycling center that will take them by going to EHSO.com to find a recycling center near my home. Try it out, it's much safer for future generations that will depend on that clean drinking water.
