Sugar Stacks.com is an eye opener

  • May 30, 2009
  • Post a comment

I recommend checking out the website sugarstacks.com  It is an education website that uses sugar cubes as a visual to show you how much sugar popular food and drink items have.  I think this is a great education tool for kids because they often consume all of these readily available food and are hurting themselves with the amount of sugar they take in.  I mean just look at the amount of sugar that is in just one coke.  Shocking to say the least and one of the reasons I gave up drinking soda a long time ago.

I urge you to visit the site and get educated for yourself.  At the very least it is important to see how much you are taking in so that you can maybe change your eating and drinking habits ever so slightly in the future to take in less sugar.

How to recycle foam peanuts

  • May 28, 2009
  • Post a comment

Not many people still get those annoying foam peanuts when they order stuff online or through the mail, but it still happens with those companies that haven’t woken up to the environmental message yet.  For those people that are not sure what to do with the annoying little things that seem to get stuck everywhere, call the Foam Peanut toll-free number 800-828-2214 that will tell you a place near you that disposes of the nuisance safely and hazard free.

Awesome BallPark Sandwich at ATT

If you've ever been to a game at ATT Ballpark you're sure to have tried the crazy crab sandwich pictured above.  It's a little on the expensive side ($15) but it's worth it.  This thing is stuffed with crab on a buttery sourdough roll that is just to die for.  If you're traveling to SF or just a native I recommend getting one of these sandwiches for sure.

Graduation Card for my Brother

  • Post a comment

My little brother is now graduation from High School and I thought I would send him a nice card since I am on the other side of the country from him and won't be able to come home for it.  So I found this really nice card to send with some money of course so he can have some fun in college :)

PATRIOT act goes too far

  • May 11, 2009

Watch this video of the US using the PATRIOT act to terrorize a young teenager in the United States.  This is just an awful example of how this particular piece of legislation is causing so much damage to the moral of the citizen of the countries and to destroy our rights.  Truly this needs to be removed by the Obama administration.

Chevy Volt

I am very excited about this car and hope that it still comes out even though GM is basically on the edge of destruction because of their poor decisions in the past.  I think that Chevy Volt could be the car that brings them back to life.  It is small, eco-friendly, and more importantly it is in tune with the way this country is moving.  It's not a gas guzzler or anything like that, it is more like what you would find in Europe.  Check out a picture of it below.

Agassi's Electric Car Plan

Watch this video about the electric car, very interesting and needs to be expanded upon.  If only Ted.com allowed for much longer talks for free :)  Anyway, if we could get such a bold plan into action we might have a chance of saving this planet...
