According to the LA Times, each week 12,000 laptops are lost in US airports and what is even worse is that 10% of those are lost in LAX alone. SO be aware of yourself and protect your laptop! Just thinking about this brings to mind the idea that we need to make sure we back up and password protect our laptops when traveling. So that in the event of being one of those unfortunate souls we at least have our data and know that now thief can steal our identities with sensitive information about us. So in light of this new information that is the advice I have for you, back-up and lock down that laptop to protect against the worst case scenario.
When I was kid I used to read the paper every day just so I could read Garfield. I loved it so much. Of course I really don't read it much anymore because I don't get the paper and I don't ever think to check the online resources. But when I saw these t-shirts and mugs from the Garfield store I just had to share because they are just a throw back to what I remember when I was a kid. It looks like they are the original designs which is much cooler than the version that is drawn on the web now.
Just wait till the big energy companies get wind of this, apparently infrasonic waves that windmill rotors generate can be harmful to your health and even cause long term damage as is happening in Japan right now (windmills are very popular over there). See this article on http://www.physorg.com/news166022416.html. This is bad for windmills because it is negative PR that is going to set it back in this country, but it is good that is coming out now. I want us to build the safest windmills and far away from all people so that no one can be injured. With this information out now, we can plan windmill farms safely away from people and avoid this completely in the US. We've just learned from those that have come before us. Thanks Japan!

I saw this article on Digg and I about did a back flip I was so happy. This town in Australia has banned bottled water because of how it destroys the economy, local water supplies and the environment. This is awesome! I am so proud and I hope that more towns in the US and in Australia are able to do something like this. Change takes little baby steps and it is nice to see that we as a world have finally started to walk.

So apparently, Techron means nothing and is just clever marketing. According to the article on MSNBC (http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/SaveonaCar/10-things-gas-stations-wont-tell-you.aspx) , Techron and other additives that clean the engine are required by law to be in gas and all gases have them. This means that there is no difference between the premium gas stations and the low end ones except for larger marketing budgets. I hate lies like this because they are so misleading. I wish there was a law against lying about what's going on with gas. Better yet let's have a law about not gouging with gas prices!

Now if I have to die, and I guess we all do, I think I want to go out like this guy in Bali. It is a flaming funeral spire in Balianese religion and it has to be pretty damn cool. I for sure want to go out like this because at least it will be a party.
I gotta admit this is a pretty clever shirt. It takes the love of Star Wars and brings it into the real world. Since most Star Wars fans are nerds and therefore either liberal or libertarian it only makes sense that they would love a mash-up of Star Wars and environmental themes. And of course that plays perfectly with the recycling nature of the Jawwaws. Anyone, enough analysis. On with the funny t-shirt!
