I know that we are in a water crisis right now and that there are major changes that need to be done to the California water system. I also make sure that each day I try my best to use as little water as I can (yes I let it mellow if it's yellow). That is why I need a break. I need something to keep me sane and I think a t-shirt like this is just the trick. I mean it has all the principles of being green and saving water it just presents it in a way that everyone can find a little humorous. See below to understand what I am talking about.

So Forbes released an article on the top 10 places to get your car stolen in the US, which makes you wonder, is my city on the list? Well luckily my city isn't on the list (even though my car has been broken into in my home town). But what is really shocking is that 4 of the 5 top cities on the list are in California. What the heck people? Does every car in California just have a steal me picture on it? OR is this a reflection a larger problem with California culture? I think that in California there is too much emphasis on driving and because of that an abundance of cars. You don't see other major metropolitan hubs like New York and Chicago where everyone has a car. Nope, they have GOOD PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (God, I wish California had that..) and because of that there are less cars and therefore less car thefts. It is an easy system California, invest in public transportation, get off the car theft list.

California is trying to release 30,000 prisoners prematurely due to the 70,000 prisoner excess in a system only designed to hold 100,000. While this is probably not a bad thing, it is still not the answer to the prison overcrowding issue that happens in most states in the country, but curiously not that much in other first world countries like Japan, or Europe. Wanna know why? They don't have tough penalties on drug users! Our prison system seems to punish the addicted users just as much as the sellers. Does that make sense? No. Drug users need to be sent to state-run rehab programs, not prison where they learn to become criminals. Send the drug deals to prison, send the drug users to rehab, then you will see a lot less repeat users and a lot less of the random crime/violence associated with drug addicts. That will give police more time to focus on the real bad people out there.
