I love ads like this. They get the point across with imagery and they do it so well that it might actually get people to think. In the world today, people don't have time to read ads and if they do, they are too distracted with videos, blackberrys and ipods so you have little chance of catching their attention. That is why simple powerful imagery works well. It has a chance to quickly catch a fleeting glance and then when the brain processes that glance the person might look up again to see something so unusual that they will suddenly get the message and understand that they need to fix something in this world. Here's to hoping you give this message more than a fleeting glance.

Well I read this over breakfast this morning and thought that was really depressing. And now I need to talk about it tonight because that article has stuck with me the entire day and I think that means it needs a little more thought.
It is really sad to think that we are destroying our world so quickly and with such reckless abandonment. It is not the actions of the many, but instead the actions of the greedy, lazy few that have huge, almost immeasurable impacts on the climate, and our resources. How is it that some people have so little compassion for so many? Is it just because they can’t see the crisis first hand, do we, as concerned citizens need to bring the damage they are causing to the steps of the decision makers? I don’t know, I really don’t know. I just can’t stand to think how so much can be done to save this planet, but it is controlled by so few, and those few don’t seem to care…
