I love ads like this. They get the point across with imagery and they do it so well that it might actually get people to think. In the world today, people don't have time to read ads and if they do, they are too distracted with videos, blackberrys and ipods so you have little chance of catching their attention. That is why simple powerful imagery works well. It has a chance to quickly catch a fleeting glance and then when the brain processes that glance the person might look up again to see something so unusual that they will suddenly get the message and understand that they need to fix something in this world. Here's to hoping you give this message more than a fleeting glance.

I thought that I would be a little different this holiday season and promote something I value along with the holidays. That is why I am going to choose a holiday card that has an eco-message, recycled paper and still a little christmas cheer. Check out below to see what I am talking about. This is a card that you can be proud to send to friends and family and know that you are promoting conservancy along with holiday cheer.

You need to read this article about the innovations that people are finding in nature. It only makes sense that scientists are finding ideas in nature because they have had a couple of 100 million years to perfect ideas and get them down to a science if you will. It is exciting that scientist are now trying to work with nature instead of fight against like we did during the industrial revolution. What can come from our working together with nature? Only good things. Check out the full article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27285982/?pg=2#Tech_WeirdScience_InnovationsInspiredByNature)

Well I read this over breakfast this morning and thought that was really depressing. And now I need to talk about it tonight because that article has stuck with me the entire day and I think that means it needs a little more thought.
It is really sad to think that we are destroying our world so quickly and with such reckless abandonment. It is not the actions of the many, but instead the actions of the greedy, lazy few that have huge, almost immeasurable impacts on the climate, and our resources. How is it that some people have so little compassion for so many? Is it just because they can’t see the crisis first hand, do we, as concerned citizens need to bring the damage they are causing to the steps of the decision makers? I don’t know, I really don’t know. I just can’t stand to think how so much can be done to save this planet, but it is controlled by so few, and those few don’t seem to care…
