Just wait till the big energy companies get wind of this, apparently infrasonic waves that windmill rotors generate can be harmful to your health and even cause long term damage as is happening in Japan right now (windmills are very popular over there). See this article on http://www.physorg.com/news166022416.html. This is bad for windmills because it is negative PR that is going to set it back in this country, but it is good that is coming out now. I want us to build the safest windmills and far away from all people so that no one can be injured. With this information out now, we can plan windmill farms safely away from people and avoid this completely in the US. We've just learned from those that have come before us. Thanks Japan!

According to a new study from the University of Technology in Australia, printing can be just as bad for your health as smoking cigarrettes. This is a shocker to me for sure. Read the quote below:
"Particles have been shown beyond any doubt to be a health hazard," said study author Lidia Morawska, a physicist at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
Inhaling fine particles can cause health problems ranging from respiratory irritation to cardiovascular problems and cancer, depending on the particle composition, Morawska said.
So why do we even need printing anymore? I think we should get rid of the waste it generates and switch everything over to electronic. Not only will that solve this obvious health hazard, but it will also save a few trees here and there.
I recommend checking out the website sugarstacks.com It is an education website that uses sugar cubes as a visual to show you how much sugar popular food and drink items have. I think this is a great education tool for kids because they often consume all of these readily available food and are hurting themselves with the amount of sugar they take in. I mean just look at the amount of sugar that is in just one coke. Shocking to say the least and one of the reasons I gave up drinking soda a long time ago.

I urge you to visit the site and get educated for yourself. At the very least it is important to see how much you are taking in so that you can maybe change your eating and drinking habits ever so slightly in the future to take in less sugar.

So Colorado schools are taking a BIG leap in helping to promote the health and well being of their students by banning all sodas from the campuses of their K-12 education. Soda companies have been notorious for infecting cash strapped school districts by offering them a little money and then planting their soda machines all over campus. Of course they reap ten fold what they give the district and they have a good contract that allows the machines to basically stay there forever while the children suffer later in life with caffine addictions and health issues like diabetes. I love the direction the school board is taking and I hope that the results from this experiment encourage other school districts to follow suit. It is time we stand up to these companies that destroy our health and promote things that are good for a change like maybe milk or God forbid even WATER!
