This is a map worth checking out. It is the map of death caused by natural disasters across the country. Apparently those in the south have a higher chance of dying because of hurricanes, flooding, tornadoes and just about everything else. I am scared about it because as global warming gets worse so will global disasters and especially in these hot spot areas. I am worried for the people of the south and I hope that we can turn this country around and stop the stressing of the weather that threatens so many human and animal lives.

Well another levee in Louisiana is on the verge of failing because it was still not properly repaired in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. This is just SAD on so many levels. First off, it is scary for the people that depend on that levee to protect them and could have lost all that they had for the second time in three years. Secondly, it is sad that even after three years we still haven't been able to get Louisiana up to the level of protection that is needed in that area. I mean how can anyone think that Bush has done anything good when the country is so obviously falling apart at all the fringes. It scares me for those that live in other disaster prone areas like the Earthquakes of the west coast and the tornadoes of the midwest. What support can they expect from the government? None. States, listen up and listen well. You must survive on your own, the federal government will not be able to help you.

So one has to wonder if Fay is going to be worse than Katrina and if the government is up to the task to the increasingly dangerous weather that global warming is creating. I am not the only one that is saying that global warming is just going to create more extreme weather. But the real question is, can we handle it? I have a fear that as it gets worse over the next 50 years that we will no longer be able to live in hurricane places or drought places or anything like that. What is going to happen to this country and are we ready? I am not sure and I am kind of scared.
Just a thought, you know that people are still suffering the aftermath of Katrina? Well they are. I think this is the apron that the entire US government needs to get so that they can roll up their sleeves and really get dirty actually fixing this Katrina thing the right way. It makes me sad and scared for the rest of the country as more and more natural disasters occur. What is going to happen to everyone else? I can only hope that we have learned from Katrina and that a change in the administration is the only change that we need in this government to make things a lot better for the US and the rest of the world.

In the wake of yesterdays earthquake in Southern California, I can’t help but think that there is going to be another one soon and that it is going to be the BIG ONE that everyone says is going to hit California sometime soon. What does this mean for the residents of the Golden State? Well I think they might want to get ready for the traveling nightmare that is FEMA. FEMA is still trying to clean up from the disaster that was New Orleans, does anyone think they are ready for a major earthquake? Nope, I don’t think so. I am worried for those that live in earthquake regions of California and I hope that they don’t plan on getting assistance because it will not be coming fast if this government has anything to say about it.

CNN is reporting that they just found a huge stash of supplies (valued around 60 million) that was supposed to go to Katrina Victims but because of some errors the victims only recieved 18.5 million worth of supplies. In effect, the government was saying that every person was 1/5 of their actual value. If I remember correctly that isn't the first time the government has labeled a black person as 1/5 of the value they actually are...
