I think this apron sums up my feelings on Palin. She is not going to help the plight of the polar bears (who are quickly losing their environment) or any other creature because she doesn't care about the environment, she cares about money and controlling what women can do with their bodies. It just blows my mind that someone that comes from such an untouched natural beauty of a state like Alaska can't appreciate the desire to preserve that for future generations. I mean she has children that may never seen those things, does she just not realize what she is doing? Well maybe not, but that is no reason to allow her to make policy that does it.

So follow the money and where does it go? Well straight to the lobbyists of course! This little handy site allows you to see all the money that McCain is getting from special interest groups that DO NOT support the ideals that you as a person do. Typically special interest groups are more into money for the corporation than helping the people. That said, this is a fun site with even more fun graphics so it is worth checking out for that alone!
So Obama has decided not to take any campaign money and I think his followers cannot be happier. This move really shows that he is a person that has faith, not in government, not in corporations, but in the people! I really applaud this and I can say that many moves he has been making recently make me more and more comfortable with voting for him in the next election. I just hope that he is able to carry the swing states like Hillary was…those are the largest worries for the democrats and I have seen nothing to prove that he can do this so far (I saw the straw polls, but those are totally bogus anyway)
This is what I am talking about, democrats together ready to kick some ass and start making some changes in this country! This mug is a perfect rip on Men and Black II except using Hillary and Obama. We are going to take out the aliens that have infected the white house!
OK, so I read the article on CNN, she's basically had it (even though she hasn't said so), but at least there is the chance of becoming Vice President. I think this is a step in the right direction. Obama and Hillary both must know that the party has been divided by all this inter-party politics. So the only way to bring supports from both camps to the table is to have a unity ticket. This is also great for taking on McCain because both are such strong campaigners that they will be able to campaign separately to rally votes. Anyway, I am happy that we are finally getting some resolution here, and I want Hillary to be the VP so that there is a Dream ticket that I can feel happy voting for.

Now I know that they are only a common wealth, but Hillary's dominating win in the Puerto Rico primary is a strong indicator as her continued strength as a candidate. She is able to pull in the strong states, she is able to pull in the swing states, the big states and now she is proven that she is even strong with a huge latino voting population. And in case you didn't know these are all the tools a person needs to be a strong primary candidate against John McCain. Don't think he has been sitting idly by as the democrats in-fight. Nope he has been working strong in those states that matter like Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and others to make it harder for the democratic presidential candidate. So we need the strongest person that can go against him and everyone knows in their heart of hearts that is Hillary.
I was reading the news on Yahoo this morning and saw that both McCain and Obama are out campaigning today, using the holiday of Memorial Day to help further their political carries. I for one am totally appalled at this, I mean it is Memorial Day! I don't care if you campaign on Christmas, Thanksgiving, or my birthday but to campaign on a day that is supposed to honor those that have fallen in protection of this country is just awful. They should be spending the day meeting with families of those that have lost children in the recent conflict and playing wreaths on the graves of our fallen heroes.
Don't get me wrong, I hate this war just as much as the next person, but today is not about that. It is not political, it is to honor those that have protected the freedoms that we cherish. Forget the politics for one day and honor those that have served us.
To those that have served this country I commend and thank you. To those that have died for this country, may you live forever in our hearts.
