Some day I will have the time and money to visit some of the marvelous Buddha statues that are from around the world. For now I can just look at the pictures and dream. They are beautiful aren't they?

Look at this calendar below. It is exactly what I wish I had the time to do with my life. I wish I could spend all of 2010 just wondering around the world collecting stories and images from the furthest reaches of the planet and trying to understand new and interesting ways to relate to people. This Calendar inspires me and makes me want to see all of these new things. Now if I only had the money to do them...

There is a deep desire in me to visit Vietnam. For one to see, first hand, the destruction that the US leveled on that country and the amazing resilient nature of the people that were able to survive the US onslaught. But also because it is a beautiful country with a diverse and rich history that I think is worth taking a look at. I mean the combination of so many asian cultures and then the french would make for some amazing architecture and even more amazing food. The only issue is getting over there because I am sure it is pretty cheap to stay and eat once you're in the country. But with this crisis maybe I can get a cheap flight, now all I need is the money.

One man is going to ride is electric bike through all 5 continents to show off the power, versatility, and most importantly the cleanliness of electrical energy vs fossil fuels. I am 100% behind this entrepreneur and the endeavor his doing. Electric vehicles are the way of the future and we need to embrace them to save ourselves from a suffocating polluting mess of fossil fuels that we are creating. I worry not for myself because I will long be dead before major problems start to arise, I worry more for the next generation. How will they cope with the world that we leave them? So I say we need the entire world on an electric bike tour - permanetly.
Traveling the world and meeting people are two of the biggest passions in my life. There is so much knowledge and so many stories you can get by just having a cup of coffee with a person that 1000s books would never teach you. That is why I love to travel and stay in places like hostels, youth hotels and camp sites. However, one of the things that I struggle with is staying in contact with the people that I meet when I travel, there is always the rush to look for a pen and a scrap of paper. That is why I've come up with the ingenious idea for traveler business cards. Check out something like one of the designs below that would be perfect to take on trips with you. This way all the contact information that you want to share with your travel friends is there in legible format that is readily accessible. I think this is a trend that is going to catch on world-wide.

So one of the countries that I have always wanted to visit but have never gotten around to (it’s mostly a money thing, flights are pricey!) is Ireland. I love meeting the people from Ireland, I like Guinness and Harp, and the weather is just about what I like (never hot). So I think that Ireland and I would be a perfect fit. Unfortunately I can’t quite get out there, so maybe I should just settle for putting up an Ireland Calendar in my office and just looking at it all the time.
